Replacement LED deck light bulb for Hella deck lights and combination deck/masthead steaming lights 998505001 .
Replaces the 20W halogen GX5.3 MR16 bulb found in the Hella 8505 Series lights (bulb # 8GH-998-529001). For the Forespar ML-2 and ML-1 units with the 132035 GX5.3 MR16 bulb, use our 15-LED MR16 replacement.
This is a direct replacement, but is brighter than the original 20W halogen. The light output is 5W (40W equivalent) and a cool white (6000° color temp.). It includes our Marinebeam on-board Constant-Current chipset, allowing it to handle voltages from 10V - 30VDC. Perfect for 12V or 24V applications.
Cast from anodized aluminum alloy, its base allows for excellent heat transfer and cooling. The LEDs are fully enclosed by a polycarbonate quad-lens.

5w MR16 Deck Light
This is a great deck light. Replaced our old standard MR16 bulb and is much brighter. All of marinebeams lights are good products, and shipping is quick and Nathan is very helpful with questions. It is a great company.

excellent foredeck illumination
Installed in a Hella 8505 combo deck-steaming light apx. 15' up the mast on my Catalina 25, and the coverage and illumination level on my foredeck is full and bright. Far better than the halogen it replaced. I did have to install a retainer wire bridging across under it as the temperature changes loosened my first bulb and it dropped right out of the fixture (I blame that on the fixture, and Hella has apparently discontinued this model). I wrote to Marinebeam to ask if the orientation of installation (polarity) mattered, and I received a quick reply that POLARITY does NOT matter in this bulb; it can be installed either way and will internally compensate. Considering how difficult it was to align the pins with the socket in this fixture without being able to see around the edges of the bulb, this is really important. Excellent design feature in this bulb!

Exellent service
MarineBeam manufactured a light for me by mating the socket adapter to a LED light and trimming it, so it would fit in place of the original halogen bulb. Received a lot of complements on brightess of the light!
