The unique push-button on/off click-switch integrated into the face of the glass lens makes this lamp compact and versatile. Just give the glass a firm push (click) with your finger to turn it on or off. This 2W LED downlight for boats and RVs delivers a pleasing and bright 2,700K Warm White output that is a prefect replacement for a 10W or 20W halogen type lamp, while using 80% less energy (and 80% less heat). It also solves an annoying trait of many cheap LED lamps because it features Marinebeam's exclusive Anti-Dazzle light-engine design, which makes it impossible to see any of the individual LEDs, no matter what the viewing angle - no more annoying dazzle or dots imprinted on your eyes.
It is a recessed design, so it mounts flush into a the standard 2-3/16" (55mm) headliner hole found on many boats and RVs. It has a very low profile design, and uses mouse-trap type stainless steel retaining springs, allowing it to fit into any headliner which currently houses halogen puck type downlights. This lamp also has a 100% EMI-free design, yet still has multi-voltage capability (10-30VDC) thanks to the latest chipset design.
This lamp is currently available with a white bezel only.

Great but no reverse polarity protection
Exactly what's described and a great product. But for the price, you expect reverse polarity protection so, when you're tired and hot and accicentally reverse the leads, you don't hear a burnt smell and have to replace a $30 fixture you haven't even finished installing :( Most 12V devices of this cost include reverse-polarity protection to avoid this problem. It's very cheap to add and build in, so it's disappointing that it's lacking. Note these products are a couple mm larger in diameter than the ones Lagoon uses, so you'll have to use a Dremel to slightly enlarge the hole so that they'll fit. It was not a big deal and well worth it. Marinebeam Addition: This product does not feature the polarity protection diode bridge to help reduce possible EMI. The fixture has engraved polarity markers on the back to avoid any confusion during installation but as stated poses a risk of fouling the fixture if installed incorrectly.
