Replacement 12" F8T5 LED Tube for Fluorescent Fixtures

Choose this bulb if you have an existing 12VDC or 24VDC fluorescent tube fixture which uses one or more 12"(30cm) fluorescent F8T5 tubes. These bulbs feature our built-in Constant-Current chipset, so they will work on either 12VDC or 24VDC (10-30VDC range).

Replaces all F8T5, Phillips TL8W/29, and 90248 fluorescent tubes in Aqua Signal Series 15 Antibes and Malaga fixtures, as well as Thin-Lite Model 111, 112, 130, 192, 652, 732 and 742 fluorescent 12V boat or RV fixtures. In fact, this bulb replaces any 12" (11.75") 12V or 24V 8W tube. If your fluorescent 12V or 24V ballast needs replacing, now is the time to upgrade to LED at about the same cost as a new ballast. No ballast required!

The Natural White F8T5 is significantly brighter than the Warm White, and looks exactly like a natural-white or daylight-white color fluorescent.

The Red F8T5 LED fluorescent replacement tube is a 2.2W (0.18A) bulb which utilizes 18 5mm Red LEDs to provide the perfect intensity for preserving night vision. These bulbs are the perfect LED replacement for the Thin-Lite Model 180 and Model 190 dual (red/white) F8T5 fixtures.

Of course, performance and life-span with LEDs is all about thermal management and current control. These tubes features 66 high-efficacy surface-mount 3528 format LEDs, bonded to an engineered thermal-substrate, which conducts and dissipates heat directly to a high-surface-area fluted aluminum thermal heat-sink structure enveloping the emitter board. This, along with our non-resistive and highly-efficient converter-driver allows us to drive the LEDs at maximum power in the same form-factor as your original tube. While they only draw 4.5W, they have more light output than an 8W fluorescent, and they last much longer, and don't attract insects like the UV-producing fluorescents do.

NOTE: These LED bulbs have our built-in constant-current driver already installed, but they do not require the high-voltage ballast that is in your current fluorescent fixture. While the bulbs drop right into your fixture, your fixture will require a slight modification, which involves simply bypassing the fixture's existing ballast.
