This drop-in bayonet LED replacement features two modes from the same bulb! It can function as either a red bulb, for preserving night vision, or with a quick flick of your existing switch, it can morph into a high-output super-bright Warm White bulb.  

No need for changing out fixtures or wiring- imagine being able to convert any 5"+ dome light in your boat to a red/white without two bulbs and 3-way switches. This is all accomplished using a digital latching technique within the bulb's microprocessor electronics. When initially switched on, its output comes from the three center red LEDs.  This provides a low intensity red output that is more than enough to see down below at night. The bulb senses each toggle of the switch and latches into the Warm White mode if the switch is toggled off-on within 3 seconds. Reverting to red mode is done by simply waiting more than 3 seconds after turning off the light.

Our unique 15-LED matrix is designed to fit perfectly in the standard 5" and 6" dome lights like those made by ABI, AAA, West Marine, and Cabin, among others.  We offer it in all the standard bulb base styles, including Bayonet Single-Contact (BA15S), Bayonet Double-Contact (BA15D), T10 Wedge (W2.1x9.5d), Festoon (SV8.5), and Bi-Pin (G4). Custom bases or pigtails by request.The bulb features 3 Red and 12 Warm White triple-emitter SMD LEDs, along with a peel-and-stick foam mount backing that makes installation easy, even on concave or irregular surfaces. For curved surfaces, simply taper the edges of the adhesive foam backing to meet the shape of the housing. Our emitter board also has a special notch cut-out for the socket, so the bulb fits perfectly centered.
