The LED die is directly bonded to an aluminum substrate to allow the brightest output while keeping the LED cool - extending the LED's life.   The COB LED is then over-molded with a special thermal silicone which contains micro diffusing particles to distribute the light beautifully. No more pin-points and "dazzle" associated with LED light or hard shadows from G4 halogens. This bulb has a beautiful tone and light distribution, just like a halogen. The best part is that no-one will know that you have LED lights, but you'll save about 85% of the energy when compared to the old halogens.
