Product Description
LED Replacement for BAY15d Indexed Bayonet Bulbs used in Navigation and Anchor Lights.
This bulb uses 18 triple-emitter surface mount (SMD) LEDs arrayed in 5 planes for 360° visibility. It draws only 3W (0.25A at 12V), yet vastly outperforms an incandescent 10W anchor bulb.
It has a BAY15d base, which is a double-contact indexed (offset side tabs) base.
This product in Cool White or Warm White is suitable for masthead (anchor light) and stern lamp applications. Cool White is recommended behind clear lenses because it has a higher luminous output than Warm White. LED's have a narrow spectrum, so we don't recommend using Cool White behind colored lenses because the color output will be skewed. Use Warm White for bi-color or tri-color lenses (or use our tri-color bulb), and use Red, or Green behind individual red and green lenses. Using the same color LED as the lens color allows for roughly 95% of the light is transmitted through the lens as opposed to a much smaller portion of the entire visible light spectrum produced by a standard white bulb.
Fits Aqua Signal Series 40, 41, 42,& 50 as well as Hella 2984 and Perko 200 Fixtures.
Replaces Aqua Signal Bulb 90002, 90003, 90005, and 90006 , 9040000500, Hella Bulb # 78290 and Perko Bulb # 037512V10W Cross References to Hella bulbs: 8GA 003 488-121 8GA 003 488-301 8GA 003 488-131 8GA 003 488-311

NOTE: As an end-user, and a private boat owner, there is no federal or USCG-requirement for you to have certified fixtures on your vessel. This is strictly a requirement for boat builders. Additionally, the USCG, COLREG and EU test agencies do not approve or certify light bulbs, and can only certify that a specific fixture complete with a specific light source meets the requirements. While our bulbs are the brightest LED replacement bulbs available, and will easily exceed the 15 Candela ISO EN 14744 requirements for 3nm visibility requirement for masthead anchor lights for yachts up to 65 feet, they don't have any sort of certification as stand-alone bulbs, or within any specific fixtures. These bulbs have not been tested in your specific fixtures, and we have no control over how you will use this product. Therefore, it must be the user's decision alone whether to use this product to retrofit existing fixtures which will be used for navigation. Additionally, we don't recommend using the Warm White bulb behind bi-colored or tri-colored lenses on boats greater than 12 meters (39 feet). The transmittance of LED wavelengths through the red lens may attenuate the output below the requirements for yachts greater than this length.

Stern nav led replacement bulb
It took less then a minute to transform my old Stern nav light into a modern led. Great product!

Low Power and Quiet
Used this as the anchor light in an Aqua Signal 40. It's less than a foot from the VHF antenna and is rf quiet. I thought about the TW-1157-60 as an anchor light but wanted to save every milliamp possible. It's still brighter than the OEM 10W incandescent.

Replacing failing early-generation LEDs
I discovered that my stern light, which I had changed to an LED back in 2007, was failing, with over half of the small LEDs inside going out. The Marinebeam replacements are shining bright!
