This bulb features a proprietary Constant-Current driver and high-output thermally-efficient multi-emitter SMD LED bonded to an Alumicore substrate. These features combine to give record setting output, superior efficacy (lumens/watt), and the longest service life in a replacement G4 form factor. Great for bell shaped reading lamps and Cantalupi overhead recessed lights. Fits most boat and RV G4 halogen fixtures. Its 10 LED design spreads the LED emitters over a wide area, giving the bulb a pleasant tone, with a less dazzling appearance than some LED bulbs.
- Polymeric PTC re-settable thermal foldback fuse - protects the LEDs from over-temperature by reducing the current
- Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) - Protects the LED from momentary high-voltage events in load dump situations common on boats

LED lighting refit
I purchased three different types of LED back pin G4 lights - all white; 3-level dimmers; white and blue as part of our whole boat lighting refit. These are excellent! We could not be happier with the light outputs, the lower power consumption and reduced heat results. I decided to purchase and install these after buying a new masthead LED solution from Marinebeam earlier this year. That is awesome modern solution too!
