Wireless Remote Control Kit for Anchor Windlass or Bow Thruster
Control your 12V windlass, bow-thruster, or remote spotlight wirelessly from anywhere on board with the remote control kit!
Now updated for easier installation
This fantastic and economical kit can control any make or model windlass or bow thruster (and many other devices with up to 4 modes, like pan-tilt cameras or spotlights).
This is a 4-channel unit, so it can also be used to control multiple devices on a single vessel. An example is to use the two up and down buttons for lifting and lowering the anchor, and using the right and left buttons for controlling the bow-thruster.
It is a straight forward kit that includes everything you need to add a remote control to your device(s).
It connects easily to a thruster or anchor windlass by connecting into the control wiring that activates the solenoid. These are the wires that come from your current control panel or deck switches and go to the device's solenoid/relay(s).
The kit includes wiring instructions, the wireless receiver box with labeled wiring loom, and two wireless remote-control switch fobs. The water-resistant wireless fobs come with a key chain ring and a lanyard attachment clip.
This device is built specifically for use on 12VDC boats, and features an automatic power-saving sleep mode which shuts off the power after 10 minutes to avoid depleting the batteries when not in use. It is simple to re-wake the device by pressing and holding the on-off switch for 3 seconds.
- Wireless Range: 45 Meters
- Transmitting Frequency: 433 MHz
- Operating Voltage: 12VDC
- On/Off Button, with auto-off (10 minutes)
- 4 contact buttons (4-channels)
- LED light indicates power on and transmitting
- Sleep-mode (saves power if not used for 10 mins.)
- Great for solo anchoring and docking!
Compatible with any solenoid controlled thruster or windlass, including Vetus, Quick, Side-Power, Max-Power and Lewmar thrusters, among others.
Unit was easy to install into current control circuit of anchor windlass. I did not realize there is a second dash mounted wireless unit included. Instructions could be better layed out had to read several times to understand.
Functions as expected. Only issue is it takes a few moments to stop after release of button. Just takes a few tries to get use to.
