LED Masthead Steaming/Fore Deck light is Bright
Love the light. Really lights up the foredeck. Steaming light is bright.

solid LED fixture
The light quality is good and the build is solid. This unit is advertised as a replacement for the Forespar unit, which it is with the glaring exception of the wiring connections. The Forespar I replaced had screw terminals for the mast wiring connection. This unit requires connections external to the unit and in my case that was crimp connections. Crimp connections are reliable and seaworthy, but the unit leaves no room for the connections. I was forced to bundle the connections behind the unit and struggle to hold everything in place while attaching the unit to the mast. I suggest the back of this unit could be molded to provide room for the required connections to the mast wiring.

great quality and value
This light was ordered for one of my customers as a low power consumption upgrade. Most important is that the customer was happy. The installation was straight forward, matching the proper wires up because the colors were different being the only concern. The deck light provided plenty of light as observed in daylight. This light makes a lot of sense for sail boaters looking for lower power consumption at an affordable price. Marine exam will likely be my source for LED light products.

Straightforward installation
Purchased online and appreciated the prompt delivery, and the installation went easier than I expected. The only hassle had to do with my skill climbing the mast with my cheap boson’s chair. Replaced Aqua Signal Series 25 Combo Deck and Masthead Navigation Light that was less than 18 months old when its deck light broke. Was able to use the same holes in the mast to install the new Marinebeam LED Masthead Steaming/Fore Deck. So if you are replacing an Aqua Signal you too will likely find the installation to be very straightforward. New Marinebeam tested perfectly first try, and my wife agrees that the new LED foredeck light is obviously brighter than the former. I am considering this a great upgrade. The paperwork says I will get 50,000 hours, let’s see.
