Finally, an LED replacement miniature BA9S bayonet base LED for the 9040047000 20W halogen foredeck bulb found in the Aqua Signal Series 25 masthead/foredeck combination lights!
This LED bulb is a direct replacement for Aqua Signal 90470-7 (9040047000), Osram 64115, and the Perko 0068 (006812V20W) 20W halogen miniature bayonet bulb. Guaranteed to fit your Aqua Signal Series 25 or Perko deck light.
The key to his bulb's powerful beam is a small aspheric plano-convex lens on the end of the bulb which protects the emitter from the elements and focuses to a 30° spot beam to light up the deck. This bulb has a 5W LED that we drive at about 1.2W. While this itself gives the bulb an effective light output (or equivalency) of about 15W, the additional bump in light output required comes from 100% of the light being collected and focused via an aspheric projection lens. This eliminated the need for your reflector, which is a good thing, as the reflective capability of most Aqua Signal reflectors last only a few months at sea.
This 5W CREE Power LED, along with our driver electronics, are encased in an aluminum heat sink, which allow for a high power LED light without the damaging effects of heat.

Excellent service and product
Marinebeam team diligently answered all of my questions (and I had a lot of them) in finding the best suitable replacement led bulbs for our masthead Aqualsignal series 40 anchor&nav light combo and midmast Aquasignal snp48 nav&foredeck light combo. This one was a replacement for the deck light bulb in the midmast one. Excellent service and product. Saved having to buy an entire replacement led unit. The first bulb was a faulty one (happens to the best of us) and the team without any hesitation sent a replacement to friends we had coming to visit us on the boat.

bright and lower wattage
Just what I was looking for. Rather than spend $150 for an all mast mounted deck light this bulb enabled me to use the existing Perko fixture - far simpler. The focused lense and bright little LED should work very well. Fast service reasonable price and reasonable shipping all added up to me being happy.

short life
Bought one last spring, only lasted 3-4 months. Thought it might be the fixture so waited until I pulled the mast but nope the bulb was no good going back to regular bulb. Marinebeam edit: John - A lifespan this short is quite uncommon. We offer a 2 year warranty on all products if you need a replacement. It is possible that during shipment or installation, the bayonet base was damaged where it crimps onto the aluminum heat sink which could allow some moisture intrusion. Please advise if this is the case and we'd be glad to replace the bulb.
