This 300 Lumen LED G4 bulb has an omni-directional output, and a warm white light that outperforms a 20W halogen without producing nearly as much heat. This the perfect solution for areas that can't get enough light. The technology in this bulb includes our constant-current chipset combined with the latest 2835 format LEDs encased in a thermally conductive aluminum shell. At 100 lumens per Watt, this is one of the most efficacious products that we offer.
We recommend that this bulb be used in open fixtures or larger upright fixtures like sconces which have a large enough area inside to handle a bulb this powerful and to avoid overheating. The lamp itself is designed as a heat sink, but must have sufficient air around it to convect the heat away from the bulb. The bulb is fairly heavy due to the construction so in downward applications, vibrations can sometimes cause the bulb to fall out of the socket. The lamp includes a thermal foldback feature which protects the LEDs from overheating which prolongs the lifespan in inappropriate fixtures.
