Wedge bulbs are popular in Lagoon Cats and Hunter sailboats as well as in many overhead domelight fixtures and bell shaped reading lights.

There are only two wedge base types. Most wedge bulbs used for illumination are the standard 9.5mm type. Some gauges, and panels backlights use the smaller 5mm type, which is also sometimes referred to as a T5.

WHICH TYPE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Choose the Matrix, type for large round overhead domes lights where you need lots of light and want the emmiter centered in the fixture. Its free-form design allows the socket base to be "soft-coupled" from the emitter board so that you can orient the LEDs independent of the socket orientation.

Smaller dome lamps and console lights work great with the 10-LED side mount X-Beam drop-in replacement. Super bright and quite compact.

Choose the Tower or Mini-Tower type for Sconce lamps, shaded lamps, courtesy lights, or other lamp were 360 degree isotropic output is important.
