3D Printing at Marinebeam

3D Printing has come to Marinebeam!

To help us with product development and the prototyping of some of our new long-range LED illuminators, Marinebeam has recently invested in a 3D printer.  

This equipment, coupled with solid modelling software, allows us to go from a concept to a prototype part in just a few hours.   We just load our design into the machine, and it uses a melted ABS filament to create a strong and dimensionally accurate part.

Setup of this machine took just a few hours, and we were soon printing good prototype parts.  We can print parts up to about 8" wide and 6" tall using this printer.  We can also print multiple colors and in different types of plastics (ABS, PLA, HIPS, Nylon, etc).

We can even make custom lamp shades, LED circuit boards, bases, and mounting hardware.
