Finally a waterproof USB power-port for us boaters!

It converts your 12V or 24V boat voltage into 5V for charging your USB devices directly.  Up to 2.1A of charging power, and compatible with all devices.

This USB charging port comes as a complete kit, which allows for either face plate mounting for use in thicker panels like bulkheads and nav station panels, or without the mounting plate for direct mounting in fiberglass, sheet metal, or in outdoor applications like center-consoles, nav pods, binnacles, etc.

What is included?

The package includes everything you need for mounting except the mounting screws and the connecting wire, as these  are application specific.  This includes the Power Port, a black waterproof cap/sealing washer, a standard knurled mounting nut, and a face plate.

How is it installed?

It is easy to install by connecting it to fuse-protected 12V or 24V DC power using the polarity-marked rear spade terminals.  It can be wired directly to the DC power, or preferably through a switched DC source, like power coming from a DC breaker panel.   The form-factor of this device is the same as a standard cigarette lighter, so the panel or bulkhead requires a 1-1/8" hole.

    Quality Product

I appreciate the high quality for such an affordable price. I used the USB charging port in two separate locations in my fish house. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars it would have been nice to have crimp on quick connects to attach the wires to the product.
