This is a standard format high-output MR16 LED bulb with both Red and Warm White LED's that can be easily switched from one color to the other using your existing switch. Imagine converting you existing fixture to a dual color Red/White LED fixture by just dropping in our replacement bulb.
With this replacement LED bulb there is no need for special switches or wiring, because the bulb itself contains a small microprocessor chip which senses the timing of how and when you toggle your existing switch to effect the switching. To preserve your night-vision, the bulb will always come on the first time in red. Then, using a quick off-on sequence with the existing switch, the bulb switches to its warm white mode. To return it to its default red mode, simply turn it off, then wait about 4 seconds and switch it back on! Simple.
This MR16 bulb replaces traditional halogen MR16 bulbs perfectly, because it is made using the standard MR16 dichroic glass housing. So, the dimensions are perfect, and this LED bulb will drop right into a standard MR16 fixture, and provide 15W worth of warm and well-diffused light.
This bulb features Marinebeam's exclusive Constant-Current circuit and 16 triple-emitter surface-mount LEDs.
What makes this MR16 different, and what makes it ideal for lighting boat interiors, is the fact that its 12 warm white surface-mount LEDs have a nice wide 120° flood pattern, that is less intense or dazzling than other spot-light designs. Also, its 6 Red LEDs, driven at just 0.9W, provide the perfect amount of red light to see well, without destroying your night-vision.
