This is a fabulous little solar rechargeable clip light - unlike any others.
These are nice little clip-anywhere lights that fully charge in the sun, or can be charged directly with a mini-USB cable (5.0VDC).
They can be used for camping, backpacking, boating or just around the house.
They have a nice solid, and powerful clamping action, so they stay where you put them. They easily clip to stanchions, rails, and lifelines. They also work great for potlucks on the beach, where they double as tablecloth holders and table lights.
A built-in lithium polymer battery, and a 0.4W solar cell take care of the charging automatically. They require a full day of sun (8-hours) for a full-charge from dead-flat. 4 to 8 hours of great useable light on a full charge. A small red indicator LED on the side of the clip indicates when it is in charging mode (by solar or USB charging).
We clip two of these to our stanchion bases (or stern railing), and one to the bimini, when leaving the boat for the day. When we arrive back they are fully charged, and it takes just a touch to turn them on and adjust the brightness setting.
While these are water-resitant and splashproof, and don't mind a bit of rain, they are not submersion-proof or sea-water proof.
These are a great light, at an unbelievable price considering that it is a lithium-reachargeable device with a USB charging port and a solar cell! Never needs batteries...ever.
