Bayonet 36-LED Fresnel Lens

This super-cluster has 36 high-output Straw-hat type LEDs arrayed on six planes for 360 degree visibility. Its unique Fresnel lens magnifies and improves its light throwing capability while encapsulating the LEDs to offer protection. Its plastic enclosure makes it slightly taller than our other navigation light clusters. Be sure you have at least 48mm clearance within your fixture (from top of socket).

This product is only available in cool white, so is intended for all-around lights (anchor light) or stern lamp applications. Cool White is recommended behind clear lenses because it has a higher luminous output than Warm White.

Because LED's have a narrow spectrum, we don't recommend using Cool White behind colored lenses because the colors will not be true. Use our 18-LED Warm White for bi-color or tri-color lenses, and use our 18-LED clusters in Red and Green behind individual Red and Green lenses.

The USCG does not approve light bulbs, only fixtures complete with a light source. While these bulbs will provide visibility from 3 - 5 miles, they don't have any sort of certification, and it is the user's decision alone whether to use this product to retrofit existing fixtures used for navigation.

Most Hella and Aqua Signal fixtures that use bayonet bulbs use the BAY15d (1157) type sockets which have double contacts and the offset pins.

This product contains our proprietary constant-current control, so it is suitable for both 12V and 24V DC applications.
