What makes this flashlight unique?  
It utilizes the latest CREE XHP35 HI LED, which is a domeless 10W 12V LED chip produced by CREE USA.  For years, flashlight modders were "de-doming" CREE's LED chips to produce high-intensity chips that would make the most use of the flashlights optics, and provide better thru-put.  Now these chips are available direct from the factory for these applications.   The next challenge for portable flashlights with this much power was how to keep things cool.  CREE already provides a neutral aluminum thermal pad on the bottom of the LED which helps transfer heat away from the die.  What the Acebeam does goes much further. It uses a pure copper metal core circuit board (MCPCB) that eliminates the dielectric (insulating) layer from the PCB in the area where the LED is bonded to the board. So, instead of the LED sitting on an insulating layer, it sits directly upon a raised slug of copper, which reduces another interface layer, and increases thermal conductivity significantly.
The result is a flashlight that has a maximum emitter output of 2600 Lumens, with a throw of more than a kilometer.

It features 6 brightness levels and a high-output emergency strobe.  The brightness levels range from a low output 1 lumen glow, to an amazing 2600 lumen light cannon.  The brightness modes are selected using an amazing magnetic hall-effect ring which is designed to never wear out, and allows a quick and easy selection of outputs.
